Why it is good to have a space dedicated to meditation?
Cause probably it goes like this: you set the intention to meditate, you sit down on your rug or your sofa, and within ninety seconds, your back aches, your mind is racing toward your to-do list, and you’re wondering if you’re “doing it right.” Or the phone starts to ring…
But when you create a specific area for meditation, your brain begins to associate that space with calm and focus, making it easier to transition into a meditative state.
And it really isn’t difficult. Nor you need a big budget for this. Although a whole room dedicated to meditation, manifestation or yoga practice would be the best, you can still create a simple meditation nook.
Let’s see what we need:
1. Physical space
- Choose the quietest area in your home, where you won’t be disturbed. It can be a bedroom corner, a balcony nook or a bathroom area. East-facing spaces are ideal for morning meditation.
- You don’t need much: just to place your meditation cushion and a small table for essentials.

2. Comfortable seating
Ideal for meditation is ergonomic seating, like a buckwheat-filled Zafu (your hips should be higher than your knees) or a dedicated meditation bench. If you also have a place to add an eco-friendly yoga mat and a small table, you have a perfect setting.

3. The Sensory Field
Once your body is comfortable, it’s time to engage your senses to drown out the “noise” of the 3D world. This is where we create the Vortex—an energetic field where your focus becomes laser-sharp.
To enter the deeper state of mind, we use sensory anchors:
- Scent: Aromatherapy is a “fast-pass” to the subconscious. Using specific essential oils like frankincense or sandalwood signals your brain to enter a theta state.
- Frequency: Sound is vibration. Whether you use a singing bowl or portable electronic tibetian singing machine or high-quality noise-canceling headphones, sound helps bridge the gap between your thoughts and the silence.
- Crystals (helpers): for example: place Amethyst on your third eye during a meditation to wash away mental clutter and old, “low-vibe” thoughts or hold a Danburite while meditating. It can help you access higher states of consciousness and connect you with angels or spirit guides.

A Simple 5-Minute “Drop-In” Ritual
Now that your space is set, try this simple ritual to recalibrate your vibe:
- Sit on your meditation cushion and take three deep breaths. On the exhale, imagine any heavy energy leaving your body and sinking into the floor.
- Light your incense or use your sound essentials. Let the scent/sound become your only focus.
- Visualize a thread of golden light pulling the top of your head toward the sky while your sit-bones stay rooted.
- The Affirmation. Whisper to yourself: “I am not my thoughts; I am the space in which they happen.”
Consistency Over Intensity
You don’t need an hour. Five minutes in a properly curated, high-vibe space is more effective than twenty minutes of struggling on an uncomfortable floor.
By investing in your environment, you are telling the Universe—and yourself—that your peace of mind is a priority.
