This is probably a different kind of cleaning advice you will read about. It isn’t just about the laundry pile; it’s about the “static” that builds up in your home during those long winter months. Spring cleaning as we discuss here isn’t a chore; it’s a way to hit the reset button on your life. Think of it as re-tuning your home’s frequency. Here is how to clear the air—literally and figuratively.
1. The 20-minute “Air Flush”
The simplest thing you can do is often the one we forget. Open every single window in your house at once. Let the cross-breeze push out the stale, heater-warmed air. It takes 20 minutes to completely swap the “old” air for the “new.” This is the most immediate way to change the “weight” of a room. While the windows are open, make a lemon-vinegar mix, take a damp cloth, clean the windows and wipe down the window tracks and sills. In that way you let the “divine light” come in without the chemical film. It’s like giving your house a fresh pair of lungs.
My extra tip: after the Air Flush, I hang a Selenite wand in the window or over doorways. It turns the incoming breeze into a wave of light. Also, using Sun catchers with crystals will bring “rainbow prana” into a space after the air flush.
2. Tech-cleaning – right after or during air-flush
Why? Warm pixels attract more dust. Cleaning “cold” tech while the fresh air is moving through the room creates a “Total System Reboot” feel. When you dust your tech use only a damp cotton cloth (the best is distilled water).
The Ritual: While you wipe the casing of your computer, visualize a “Blue Light Shield” around the device.
You can also add these essential oils on the cloth for cleaning the space around the tech. But don’t spray the tech directly. Put 1-2 drops of oil onto your microfiber cloth first, then rub the cloth together to distribute it before wiping the back of your laptop or your desk.
Peppermint: For mental clarity and “speed.”
Rosemary: Known as the “Herb of Remembrance,” it’s perfect for a workspace where you need to stay sharp.
Lemon: The ultimate “Cut through the noise” oil. It physically removes finger grease and energetically clears the air.
3. The “Threshold” Scrub
Energy enters through the front door. If your entryway is cluttered with salt-stained boots and old mail, that’s the frequency you’re inviting in.
The Ritual: Scrub your front door—inside and out—with warm water and a splash of lemon. Shake out the welcome mat. Clear the “mouth” of your home so you can walk in and actually feel a sense of relief.
My extra tip: Once the entryway is scrubbed clean, I place a piece of Black Tourmaline by the door. It acts as a energetic gatekeeper for the home.
4. Evict the “memory clutter”
Walking through your home and touching every object. If an object triggers a “low-vibe” memory (an ex-partner, a stressful job, a failed project, a stack of papers from a job you hated, a broken lamp you keep promising to fix), it’s an energy leak.
The Rule: If you look at an object and feel a tiny “dip” in your mood, it doesn’t belong in your sanctuary. You aren’t being wasteful; you’re being protective of your peace. Let it go.
5. Break up the corners of your rooms with sound
https://amzn.to/4v9hSLGCorners are where energy goes to die. They collect dust, cobwebs, and “stuck” vibes.
The Ritual: grab a bell, a singing bowl (like this Hand-Hammered Tibetan Singing Bowl), or even just clap your hands loudly in the four corners of every room. It sounds strange until you do it—the sound waves physically break up the stillness and make the room feel “sharper” and more alive.
My extra tip: to finish, I place a Quartz point in each corner to amplify the clarity and keep the room feeling ‘sharp’ for the coming months. You can also place raw salt chunks in the corners of a room to “absorb” electromagnetic static and heavy moods. Or even more, placing citrine crystals in all four corners of the room will increase your potential for abundance. This is what I talk about in my blog post about 3 crystals for abundance.
You can also place High-frequency Solfeggio Wind chimes at your entrance (specially tuned to 528Hz for transformation).
6. Sea salt
Salt is the ultimate “reset” button. Sprinkle a little sea salt along your windowsills or across the doorway. Let it sit for an hour, then vacuum it up. Imagine it soaking up the winter blues, the indoor arguments, and the restless nights. When you vacuum it away, you’re literally taking the trash out on an energetic level.
My extra tip: light up your high quality Himalayan salt lamp (for the ion boost) as you wait for the salt to do its magic.
This cleaning ritual has a deeper purpose than just having a clean house … it`s about making your home a place where you can actually hear your own thoughts again.
Which one are you starting with tomorrow? I’m betting on the “Air Flush”—it’s the quickest win.
Enjoy your “clean” home,
